Individual, Couples, LGBTQ+, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Welcome!
I’m Dr. Matthew Schottland, a psychotherapist dedicated to helping people live more intentional and fulfilling lives. For over 16 years, I’ve worked with individuals and couples to build stronger relationships, deepen self-understanding, and face challenges with courage and clarity. My approach is active and engaged—I’ll listen carefully, but I’ll also offer suggestions, help with skill building, and hold you accountable to the changes you want to see in your life.
I hold advanced training in contemporary psychoanalytic psychotherapy and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). I currently see clients in-person at my office in Farragut Square as well as at the Ketamine clinic, Washington Interventional Psychiatry, in Spring Valley. In addition, I am a participating provider in PsyPACT and can work virtually with clients in the majority of states. Please check out this link to see if your state participates: PSYPACTMap
Outside of my practice, I’m a dad of a young son and a dog, and someone who loves playing tennis, learning guitar, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. therapy can be serious work, but I also believe in bringing authenticity, humor, and humanity into the room.
